Child aid organization "Wülfrather Kinder in Not" was happy to receive a donation over 3935.- €. The money was passed to Wolfgang Peetz of the "Wülfrather Kinder in Not" initiative on his visit to Helmut Mauell GmbH. Regular support of a charitable project for the benefit of local children is a social commitment of Mauell GmbH employees and management. "Children are our future and their support and encouragement is of great importance to us all", says Angela Schütze, initiator of this initiative.
The ideas for raising money put into praxis during the year by our employees demonstrates their unwaning enthusiasm for this social task. For example, each employee made a donation for the working clothes he or she received, or a donation was made every time a company car was used for private reasons. A sum of 1635 € could be raised this way. A collection at Christmas brought 1300 €, and another 1000 € could be raised with the Christmas card campaign initiated by the company management. "The urge to help spread through the entire company ", said Angela Schütze.

The initiative for helping children in distress in the town of Wülfrath was launched in 2005. Wülfrath's increasing child poverty, evident in day-care centers and by the increasing number of citizens needing debt counseling, could no longer be confronted by welfare institutions alone. "It was time to take initiative", said Wolfgang Peetz of "Wülfrather Kinder in Not".
The professional management of this organization makes sure that every single donation goes toward the aid project and is not reduced for administration purposes.
