12/14/2012Helmut Mauell secures the future of his life's work, Bilfinger Power Systems GmbH takes over Helmut Mauell GmbH

On December, 2012, Helmut Mauell, founder and owner of Helmut Mauell GmbH, and Gerd Lesser, chairman of the Bilfinger Power Systems GmbH management board, signed the takeover agreement. The medium-sized company with headquarters in the town of Velbert is now part of the international engineering and service group Bilfinger SE.

As a result of the energy turnaround, today more and more citizens become electricity producers.
The "consumer" is now also a "producer" who feeds power decentrally generated by photovoltaic cells or micro cogeneration plants into the national grid.
The existing power supply network however, designed for the distribution of electricity generated by a relatively small number of centrally located large-scale power plants, is not fit for this new situation.

ME 4012 PA-N small telecontrol system provides information from medium and low voltage grids

Deregulated energy markets and financial incentives for small and medium decentralized power generation plants enacted by state legislation require a new assessment of the aspects of power system planning in the future.
To provide grid operators (grid control and planning) with even more information from the medium and low voltage grid or gas pressure regulating stations, Mauell GmbH developed a new modular small telecontrol system capable of meeting both present and future customer needs.

Child aid organization "Wülfrather Kinder in Not" was happy to receive a donation over 3935.- €. The money was passed to Wolfgang Peetz of the "Wülfrather Kinder in Not" initiative on his visit to Helmut Mauell GmbH. Regular support of a charitable project for the benefit of local children is a social commitment of Mauell GmbH employees and management. "Children are our future and their support and encouragement is of great importance to us all", says Angela Schütze, initiator of this initiative.
